Moments worth talking about

What is currently going on

Its that time of year where the tree's turn from their green to magnificent oranges, yellows and soft greens. Where you put away summer clothes only to get into warm fuzzy soft cozy pants, warm hot cider and soft fall moments.
I love the fall time its a time where you can still do outside if you want but love to be doors and watch the wind whip around outside. We have had a amazing summer with tons of memories and lots of new adventures.

the kite flying

Lori's Birthday

My 35th Birthday @ ocean shores

Ocean shores again

What fun we have had this year.
This time was fun filled time with loads of friends and great memories. This one included my birthday!
The kite pictures you will see on here to try and explain it all would take forever but to sum it up.. windy day, 3 determined men, 4 kites, curious kids, 3 hours, = 1 barbie kite flying to high you could not see it, pulling a big flower kite in the air. ( picture not included).
Birthday fun singing at a campfire not remembering any words to the songs ( now we have a song book ), Cake ( strawberry shortcake of course ), more swimming, celebrating my birthday with Russ and Cari on their anniversary.
There are some pictures that don't need any words you just get to look at them and say what the heck?

Chili

No not the hot bean concoction but the country of Chili. George left on a trip with a group of other dedicated individuals that would help build a church in a small town of Domingo, Chile. They got the church done in 3 days, did some VBS with the local kids, did some evangelical series, By the end of the trip, 8 or so people got baptized, 4 or so where studying the word of God. The bible teacher was going to stay on over there to continue the teachings. They got to sight see a bit, got to witness it rain for the first time in 3 years. Lots of memories for the group. Praise God!

more Sand and Surf

Sun and Surf

This year Sun and Surf just turned out to be Moms and Kids with the exception of a few men.
We did lots of activities like usual. Went to the LOOP ( pool backwards so the kids don't know what we are saying), went to the beach, went into town to see the bikes, went to the Quinault Casino where the bikes came in for a lighted memorial parade. Went on the beach for the bonfire, and the drumming on the beach.

Belt Teasting

On July 19th we set out for a exciting day. It would be Lori's First belt test going from white to yellow, Chad would be going from orange to green. Keith would be going from High Green to blue. ( Keith would be half way to black).
The day started out fine Lori could not get for fear it would come back up. Got to the Do Jang. I was beyond nervous. My parents could not make it and George was in Chili. But I had my good friend Doris there and the boys. They are all great help this day.
Did the test thought I was going to loose my cookies a few times due to nerves. But I did fine. The boys did amazing no nerves on their part. They just do so well during testing. They both did sparring which went fine.
The day came when belts were being passed out. Guess what?? We all passed. George was home so he could take the pictures and pat us on the back. FEWWWWWW! What a day that was..
