Moments worth talking about

What is currently going on

Its that time of year where the tree's turn from their green to magnificent oranges, yellows and soft greens. Where you put away summer clothes only to get into warm fuzzy soft cozy pants, warm hot cider and soft fall moments.
I love the fall time its a time where you can still do outside if you want but love to be doors and watch the wind whip around outside. We have had a amazing summer with tons of memories and lots of new adventures.

Italian vs Italian

The only thing that needs explaining in the picture is that both of these people are Italian. Gina LOVES Chocolate. George LOVES Chocolate. Do you see how determined Gina is? Do you see how bothered George is?

On a personal note: David and I have truly lucked out and are blessed daily by these two amazing people. There love is so unconditional and supportive. If there is a need they make it happen. God smiled on our lives when these two walked into it.

Gina and the Family

Gina got to come home for the Easter Weekend what a rush and busy time she had. We had a good time with her we mostly just sat and talked but ya know its nice to always just chill and be with the ones you love so much.

Only in the Claw

Now there are some things that have put The Claw on the map. Our logging, our road leads to Crystal Mountain, dairy's.
But the other day I just laughed so hard when George pointed out this scene. I had to turn around just to get this picture. So darn funny.

Some of the Zoo

Frankie is the Parrot what a funny little bird she is. Her character is coming out. We have had her for about 4 years this June. She is momma's baby and knows it. She gets very jealous when mom is with someone else. If I am anywhere near her she has to be on me. As you can see in the picture.
Kali you saw in the last posting. Bo is my fat boy he is around 21 lbs and you can tell his favorite pass time is sleeping. He is so fat he has to sleep on his back or he cant breath. Such a funny boy he is.

More on Steve the soccer player

Steve as I earlier posted played soccer. Kali my little girl wanted to play with him. Funny how in nature they would eat each other in my house they play soccer.

Darn Snow

I have to admit I love the snow its white, pretty. you can make some cool snowmen and wonderful snow angels in it. But seriously enough is enough. These pictures are accidentally out of order.
They should be back with the other snow ones.
This was our latest snow in April we got about 4 inches.

As you can see the dogs are just content in the snow. Zara LOVES it. Maggie just wants to be warm.

The Egg hunt

This year was a fast and quick throw and hide the eggs gather them and run back into the house. It was pretty funny this year we did it during monsoon rain storms.
Mom got the first Egg. ( Go Mom )
Chad got the second first egg
Keith got the third first egg
The total was
Chad 19
Keith 18.
Good job Boys!

Easter

I do love Easter time. Its time for flowers to bloom, weather ( other than in Washington State) to warm up, Time to start thinking SUMMER!.
My favorite thing about Easter is coloring of the eggs. I would love to sit and do it all day long.
Keith does not mind at all dipping in and getting dye all over, Chad is much more reserved he wants to use the thin wire hook that makes the egg fall off and crack. You would think after years of growth and inventions that PASS would come up with a better idea but they have not at this point. George just does not like to color eggs he just wants to eat them.

My dad

For those of you who don't know, my dad lost his leg a few years ago. When my brother was home for Christmas we went to his prosthetic Dr to get fitted for a new leg. Of course my dad being who and what he is has over come many many obstacles found a way to entertain us all. He was bored and needed to make funny. So here is Ninja Dad

The Daffodile Parade

For those of you who are not from the Great Northwest. Once a year we have a Daffodile Parade. I am 35 years old and have never been to it. This year I got smart and ASKED someone when it was. To my wonderful delight I did not miss it for it was this past weekend. For those who do live in the Great NorthWest. Its the First Weekend in April. It was one of the best parades I have ever in my life been to. I think I enjoyed it for the simple fact it was home down. People stood and clapped when the Vetrains walked by, they clapped again when the Shiners went by , They clapped when the fire Dept went by. Total gradatude for those who put there lives on the line for us. Every other entry was a band so of course I LOVED IT.
What also impressed me is that it did not matter if you had a disability or were not perfect they were all in the parade and no one minded. In fact a disabled girl was the Queen of the Strawberry Festival. There was also a disabled person in one of the High School bands Someone pushed her in her wheelchair as she played the tambourine. I was so impressed by honesty of the parade. Just good ol fashioned down home fun.

The snow

Around here we get some funky weather expecially this time of year. This past week we got some snow down here in the Claw. But it just did not seem enough so we packed the kids and snow gear, snacks, and hot chocolate and off we were to find some deeper snow.
We went to Buck Creek were we could not find a safe place to play so off to Crystal Mountain we went. We got all excited to see the piles of snow. We get out of the vehicle only to find a warning sign stating " NO SLEDDING ALLOWED AT CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN" Ohh the sadness that the kids had but we made the best of it and had a good time anyway.

Steve

The funny Turtle named Steve. Mostly he sits in his house and does not move except to move more into the corner where he sits most of the day. When we let him out to exercise he just runs around. I always thought turtles were slow but not Steve he is fast fast.
I mostly will lose him I have to find my male cat who babysits for me. This shot was taken after Steve had been roaming around he found this soccer ball and just pushed it around the floor. So funny.
