Moments worth talking about

What is currently going on

Its that time of year where the tree's turn from their green to magnificent oranges, yellows and soft greens. Where you put away summer clothes only to get into warm fuzzy soft cozy pants, warm hot cider and soft fall moments.
I love the fall time its a time where you can still do outside if you want but love to be doors and watch the wind whip around outside. We have had a amazing summer with tons of memories and lots of new adventures.

The great corn maze

Back when my parents lived at the house they used to live it... ( did I get that correct? )
The boys and I thought we would grow a garden. Well as it turned out it was the most pathetic corn you had ever seen. If I did 10 rows of corn that were in rows of 6-8 feet long maybe 2 corn stalks would grow. My father has always laughed his head off when he talks about it. Saying wow what a corn maze Lori. Dont get lost. So funny he thinks he is.
This year he says to me I need 12 corn stalks not perfect ones but kinda dead unhealthy looking ones. I looked at his oddly but got 12 dinky corn stalks. He giggled and said oh you just wait and see. Went over to the parents house yesterday and I laughed my head off, had tears rolling down my face. When what do my wondering eyes see. " MY OWN CORN MAZE."The best part of the whole thing is my Daddy made it for me not anyone else. He wanted to do something special for me that would make me smile and let me tell you the grin has not left my face.
Love you Daddy!!!.

The Pumpkin boys

The boys did their pumpkins all on their own this year. They both really have had problems in the past dealing with the guts they just did not want to work or touch them at all. Keith did better last year. Chad just would not do it. This year as I did the blog they did the pumpkins all by them selves. I laugh at the different personalities that both boys have. Keith is really turning into a artist, Chad is not random still. We think they turned out great.

Bentley

OK so Chad wanted and wanted a snake. We looked far and wide for a snake that he would just love and that was not going to be to big for a first time snake. As you can tell by previous pictures the boy has no fear no matter the size. I think it was mostly mommy who did not want a 8 footer in the house. So a girl from work was going to go live with her grandma and her grandma had a major fear of snakes so she had to get rid of him. I saw Bentley and said oh yes Chaddy will love him.
We have had him for 3 months. He is just a sweetie. He has a very soft personality. He really likes Chad because Chad always has warm hands. George gets the honor of helping Chad feed Bentley because mom is just not doing it. Keith is ok with him but is really not interested in him at all.
sorry these are so late part of the whole busy thing.

Pumpkin patch

what fun we had at the pumpkin patch. Got many many pictures. They had miniture horses and of course goats, Chad loved the bunnies. Keith tried to find the bigest pumpkin he could as you can see he cant even pick it up. The rule in the house is that you have to be able to carry the pumpkin. We did the corn maze and the tractor ride.

Lori Orange belt

On Sat 25th 2008. I did my Orange belt test. Did well I think. Master SantaRosa said he needs to look over the tape again to make sure. ( there is not a tape ). He knows I get a big nervous at test time. This time he really went easy on us. YIPEEEEE! Next belt we get to sparr we shall see how that goes.

Georges new Toys

George started with the Side Dump, since then he has graduated to the dump truck yet again. In between both of them he also drives the lowboy for all the heavy hauling he does. He is starting to find he groove again and really starting to like his job.

Keith Band Concert

Here is Keith again. Lots to post about this young man of mine he has been very very busy. He is in 6th grade band he plays percussion. I am not sure this surprises me at all. He really likes it. He is doing very well with it. The teacher is teaching him to play all the percussion instruments which I think is great. She does not teach concert pieces she teaches the fundamentals of band notes and how to read them.

Keith at Camp

Keith had the opportunity to go to 6th grade this year. He was gone a whole week. His cabin name was the Jamin Jamaicans. Camp songs and tons of laughter. They did skits and more songs. He lost his voice from so much yelling and screaming. ( kinda nice a soft voiced Keith) They went out in canoes, did the rock wall, dissected squid , did night time hikes.

Keiths Birthday

Keith wanted to go to the skatebarn its 40,000 sq ft of nothing but ramps, loops, rails, ect. He took a few friends had a great time.

Chads Birthday

Here is Chad's Birthday we celebrated at home. He had his friends come over we played games and just hung out. He is really into Indiana Jones. He wanted Indiana Jones and Army so that is what he got.
