Moments worth talking about

What is currently going on

Its that time of year where the tree's turn from their green to magnificent oranges, yellows and soft greens. Where you put away summer clothes only to get into warm fuzzy soft cozy pants, warm hot cider and soft fall moments.
I love the fall time its a time where you can still do outside if you want but love to be doors and watch the wind whip around outside. We have had a amazing summer with tons of memories and lots of new adventures.

A day of baking

Well I got bored so I decided that we would do gingerbread men and sugar cookies.
Chad and Keith both helped out tons. Lots of laughter and trying to contain two very hyper boys who want there hands in everything from eating the dough to putting plan flour in their mouths and then PUFF goes flour all over my kitchen.
The decorating part went well again like the Gingerbread houses most of the icing and candy and sprinkles got in mouths and not on cookies but it was fun bonding with my boys.

Gingerbread Houses

It has become a family tradition to do Gingerbread houses. One day when I am as good as my Mother in Law I shall make the walls and iceing but for now I buy the cheater box. Of couse I get a package that the roof sides (2) are broke in half and George being the master at Gingerbread houses made it work. Chad and I did one together. Keith was on his own. With half the iceing eaten we got three houses done.

The Day of the bird

Well tomorrow is a day that traditionally the women spend 90% of their time in the kitchen slaving over the bird that they pray over all morning long that it wont be discussing, burnt, uncooked, over cooked. The day where the men spend 90% of their time watching the game or just hanging out. Where kids are running around putting their fingers big or small into everything they can get into.
For my family it will be at the parents house. Dad will cook I shall assist. George will take a nap and the boys will claim they are bored or shall find something to do. Mom of course will supervise the whole operation. There are so many things for me to be grateful for this year. I would like to mention that God has truly been my hero and savior this year its been a horrible, unbelievable, hard, eye opening, tragic, overwelming, nothing but a miracle year. The storms have been mighty this year but with his grace and mercy we have survived it.
I am greatful to my family who thru thick and thin remain close and always there for each other. I am thankful to my husband because no matter what he is my rock and can get me thru any storm that comes our way. To my very active, loud, into everything boys who challenge me every second of the day but then will still take a small moment to come kiss me on the cheek. To my amazing friends who for all year long have been a becon of light for me to always land safely on their shores and just be.
To our Service men and women I can only say I am proud to stand behind you, I am honored that you give up so much so my homeland is safe. I am so very proud of my brothers for giving up so much and the sacrifices they make every day so I can be proud to say. I am a American and Damn proud of it!

Lori's Orange Belt

Well I passed I do think its been so much fun to get out there and do something very fun. I got my Orange belt. It looks very nice if I do say so myself. Orange belt you get to start sparring which I think will be so much fun but not sure my back can handle it. I will just have to wait and see. I think the boys and I will take a break until the new year comes in.

Just out playing

Well fall time has come I just love how the leaves are changing the weather is starting to get disgusting but not to bad yet.
We decided to get a way for a bit and go to Deep Lake where of course I bring my camera the boys are first were pretty wound up then as we got to walking along ( not singing a song ) they began to find themselves again. I think we all get caught up in our lives and forget how to relax and just play.

Its all about the hair

Since you all are so in tune to what is going on here is a update on George's hair. He is now at a amazing length of 9inches. Full of lofty locks and waves. I secretly think he likes it. His goal is to get to 10 inches then donate it to locks for love. Then cut it off but I again secretly think he will keep going because we go to Sturgis Next year and you have to have the biker look right?

The night of Halloween

A very good friend of mine and her kids went out with George and I to gather the goodies of the evening. We hit a fairly good neighborhood. I do believe its one of the first ones I have ever been to that most of the houses really got into the event. This year Keith was a Nerd and Chad was a a cool 60's guy.
After being out in the cold we went to the Swimming pool where they did a great job of having a pool party for the kids.
