Our Family
Moments worth talking about

What is currently going on

Its that time of year where the tree's turn from their green to magnificent oranges, yellows and soft greens. Where you put away summer clothes only to get into warm fuzzy soft cozy pants, warm hot cider and soft fall moments.
I love the fall time its a time where you can still do outside if you want but love to be doors and watch the wind whip around outside. We have had a amazing summer with tons of memories and lots of new adventures.

The fort

The snow had no say in what it was going to be used for with two big boys who are in the Army and know how to have fun and make a fort. I think it started out with 2 huge snowballs and they gutted it out. They were so proud of themselves. For Chad and Keith their uncles scored big points on this project.
If you look at them closley
David, Keith, Chad
David, George luker, Chad, Keith, Lori and Gina ......< in this one if you look at Georges right ear you can see Davids eye and nose.
It was a huge Fort to fit us all in. Marcie took the picture.

Family bonding

We did allot of family bonding while Gina and David were home I think a much needed thing. We all just needed to be together and laugh and just chill.

The boys and Nubie

The boys got to play with Gina and Davids dog Anubis. She is a 9 month old solid white Husky she is just beautiful. She has learned how to speak, sit, shake with both paws, sits to go out and in the house, lie down, and NO!
Chad and Keith at the end of the day would just lie on the floor with her and they would fall asleep.

Love the snow

Well we got our snow its been going on for a bit but really nothing to brag about. These should have been posted earlier but I am a bit behind.
I think in all total we have gotten 6 inches. It comes and goes ices over, freezes over then snows again.
Zara ( The Malamute ) simply can not get enough of this white stuff she just plays and rolls and chases the snow balls the boys toss at her. Maggie I think secretly wants to be in Arizona in some heat but all in all they are both loving the snow. Zara has caught a rat its now her frozen Ratcicle. GROSS.
They boys are out in it almost all day long. Starting at 7am.
There will be more pictures of snow will be on here.
Can you tell how happy George is???
So funny of a face he makes.

Christmas tree shopping

Well we got done decorating the Church for the Christmas breakfast and program it started to snow. I get all giggly and kid like when the snow starts to fall its so fun. So off Christmas tree shopping we go. We get the saw and head to the isles of Nobles. We look around here and there ah ha its standing there just waiting to be picked you could see a small twinkle in its branches So calming and beautiful... NO wait that would be if I went with a normal family. What really happened is..
Lots and Lots of talk talk talk from jabber talky ( Keith ) Chad going on about something telling Keith to be quiet he has heard him enough. George of course leading his way thru the rows of nobles. I of course at the end shaking my head just wanting a bit of fun getting a tree with my boys. We wander to and fro til we came upon the right tree I asked the guys if they all liked it. Now Keith says no its to big he wants a Charlie brown tree, Chad wants a BIG tree and George shrugs his shoulders I again roll my eyes. So again I ask if this one will work or do we keep looking this is where my 9 year old says to the family maybe we should mark this one to be sure and keep looking. I look quizzically at George and he at I. We both at the same time look at Chad where upon he is attempting to " Mark " the tree. He is all ready of course. I am now rolling with laughter, George has tears rolling down his face. Keith has his look upon his face as if to say " Why do I live with these people?" I looked at Chad when I could gain some modesty and tell him if he pee'd on my Christmas tree he was in trouble. Chad looked at me puzzled and said' But that is how the dogs mark there things".
Never in my life did I think Christmas Tree Shopping with boys would ever mean one would try and mark one.

Santa

This time of year is very magical for me there is a special person I look forward to greet each year the joy and the excitement never changes for me. The boys and I had been going back and forth playing around about meeting this man of many wonderful things when all of a sudden we came upon this scene where I saw him his soft face, his smile full of mystery, his checks rosy, his eyes twinkled like Christmas lights, his tummy shook like a bowlful of jelly.
As we got closer to him to take a picture with him. Tears are forming the magic of Christmas was pooling in the pit of my stomach.
We encircle this man we call Santa. The warmth in his touch soothed all jitters. The boys and I smile the camera flash pops. Then we get up Santa said to Chad every question every child wants to hear. " What do you want for Christmas?' Chad told him a knife."a Skateboard." He looked back at Chad and asked if there was anything else he wanted. This is where my little Chaddy lost it. Tears rolled down his ever so precious cheeks and said he wants his Uncle Luker to come home safe (Uncle Luker is in the Army and is overseas) Luker will be home for Christmas by the way. Chad also said that he wants his Uncle Bubba and Aunt Gina to come home safe. Santa asked Chad were they were Chad said well they are here in the USA but home as in here in Washington. Santa told him that he would try very hard to bring Chad's family home safe. He told Chad a secret... He told Chad that Santa has boys to and that they are Soldiers and they are overseas to and that Santa wants them home also. Chads tears continue to fall softly onto Santa's sleeve Santa asked " what is wrong my child" Chad told him his Uncles are both going back over after Christmas and I want you to keep them safe for me ok?
Santa by now has tears rolling down his cheeks as do I, Keith is misting up, the girls who took the picture were crying, The people in line were crying.
Santa told Chad he has a amazing heart, his soft tender love is precious and he was one incredible kid, He looked at Keith and told him how much he admired his strength. He hugged me and just held me there.
He whispered in my ear Merry Christmas we are safe this year because they stand a post for us. God bless you.
He made me promise one thing before I let go. He made me promise to have a good Christmas this year and to give my Soldiers a hug from him.

The magic of Christmas will never cease to amaze me..
Thank you Santa!

To my Fambuds

There are two couples that we do allot of stuff with. They are very fun and great friends. When we ride we mostly will ride with this group. This is also the group that is going to STURGIS next year. We have all shared many times of laughter and humor. I count my blessings each day for each of them. The bestest part is they love me unconditionally and accept me with all my unique qualities.

So here is to you my Fambuds!!
